RippleX Developer Explains Why XRP Ledger Upgrades Are Bigger Than Transaction Volume The XRP Ledger has reached another major milestone with the activation of its latest fix amendment, but RippleX developer Mayukha Vadari says the network's progress cannot be measured by transaction volume alone. Although it does not generate additional transactions on its own, it addresses a critical requirement for financial institutions, making the XRP Ledger a more viable platform for regulated asset issuance. More notably, the same principle applies to upgrades that enhance decentralized liquidity, developer tools, and token functionality. These improvements lay the groundwork for lending protocols, tokenized securities, cross-border payments, and real-world asset tokenization. Their success is reflected in stronger adoption, greater liquidity, and a more robust ecosystem over time, not in short-term transaction spikes. XRPL Fix Amendment Goes Live as RippleX Developer Redefines Upgrade Success Vadari's comments come as the long-awaited fix amendment officially activates on the XRP Ledger. dUNL validator Vet confirmed the amendment is now live , making XRPL 3.2.0 the minimum software version for mainnet validators and node operators after receiving sustained validator support. While the update introduces no major user-facing features, it improves network stability by resolving protocol issues and strengthening the ledger's overall reliability. Why does this matter? Well, these behind-the-scenes enhancements help developers, validators, and applications operate more efficiently while laying the foundation for future innovations. Beyond infrastructure, the XRP Ledger continues expanding its enterprise capabilities. AI-powered payments on XRPL now support Mastercard's Verifiable Intent standard , adding cryptographic proof of payment authorization and pre-settlement risk screening for autonomous AI transactions. The ecosystem is also advancing its tokenization ambitions. With settlement finality of just 3–5 seconds and an upcoming integration with a Stellar wallet expected to introduce roughly 1.5 million users to the network, XRPL continues to broaden its reach.
